Summer socks FAQs
Sneaker socks are short socks designed specifically to be worn with sneakers. They usually reach up to the ankle and are made to provide adequate coverage and protection while remaining barely visible. DillySocks sneaker socks are popular for their comfort, breathability and their ability to absorb sweat and keep feet dry – all while complementing the style of sneakers in the warmer months.
Invisibles socks, also known as invisible or no-show socks, are designed to be almost invisible when worn with sneakers. They're short and only cover the front part of the foot, reaching to just below the heel. DillySocks no-show socks are ideal for shoes like sneakers, loafers or slip-ons because, unlike regular socks, they can't be seen. The grip strip at the heel still guarantees a secure fit.
In theory, yes – but we wouldn't recommend it. Wearing sneakers without socks can make your feet sweat more and lead to unpleasant odours. That's because of the faster growth of bacteria inside the shoe. To avoid this, we recommend sneaker socks or no-show socks. Short socks offer several advantages (absorbing sweat, neutralising odours) while still giving the impression of bare feet. Win-win!
