Sustainability

Our promise

Be smart and conscious

The idea for DillySocks is inspired by the colorful impressions of our environment. To maintain this diversity, we want to keep our ecological footprint as small as possible but also as colorful as possible.

The primary focus lies on minimizing the negative impact on our environment. We achieve this by using biodegradable components. All socks are made from 100% organic cotton. We have replaced the plastic covers with PLA bags which are compostable. In collaboration with Fluidsolide, we have developed a compostable hook made exclusively from wood waste and enzymes. And the labels are printed on recycled paper exclusively.

But we must not neglect the social aspect. That is why we built up a collaboration with a foundation for handicapped people. They produce monkeys from unsold socks which in turn are resold by us without profit - all for a good cause.

Our environment is our inspiration. That is why we have made it our mission to make the world not only more colorful but also more sustainable with our DillySocks.

Be colorful
and
conscious.

How do we do that? By making our socks from organic cotton and by avoiding any toxins when dyeing the yarns. This is what the Oeko-Tex® 100 Standard certificate stands for. But our claim to sustainability goes beyond the socks: Our packaging and our hangers are biodegradable. To close the loop, we have the Pigna Foundation, which works with disabled people, sew cuddly sock monkeys from our leftover stock. These are sold on for a good cause without profit. So every pair of DillySocks is a statement for a more colourful, fairer and more ecological world.

Our production

Our socks are produced by a Portuguese family business. The traditional sock manufacturer is now in its second generation and produces high quality hosiery on a wide variety of knitting machines. In close cooperation, we continuously develop footwear for every taste.
