Open doors with the mouse at DillySocks®

On Doors Open Day with the Mouse, we'll take a look into our sock treasure chest and discover hundreds of different sock designs. We'll show you how we produce our socks sustainably and design a pair of fun children's socks together. You'll see what it takes before you can wear a pair of socks.

We will open the doors of our DillySocks® sock workshop on October 3, 2023. We offer a tour in the morning - from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - and one in the afternoon - from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

You can find our sock workshop at the following address: DillySocks AG, Eibenstrasse 9, 8045 Zurich, 2nd floor .

We are designing the event for children and adults from 4 years to 99 years. Our entire team strives to create an event that has something exciting for everyone.

This is what awaits you on Doors-Open-Day with the Mouse at DillySocks®

We will be taking young and old on a sock course through our sock workshop. At each station we want to show you individual steps in how we make socks. The sock course will take around 1 hour in total. This is what you can expect at the various stations:

1st Station: The production of our socks

Here we tell and show you information about the production location, the machines used in sock production and the sock composition, the design options and what we do to make our socks sustainable .

2nd station: This is how our DillySocks® get their fun, colorful designs

You will see the design software and, as a participating child, you will have the opportunity to share your desired designs. We want to design a sock interactively with all the children.

3rd station: Marketing Snapshot

Marketing is super important to us! Here you can see how we present our socks on our Instagram channel .

4th station: final photo in the studio

We do a little photo shoot with the children in groups of 5. Each visitor can look forward to a small gift.

Sounds like an exciting program for you? Then let's get started!

What do we do with the visitors who don’t get a seat?

We accept all registrations. If the event is already fully booked on site, we will let you know and put you on a waiting list. If registered people cancel (at short notice), we will contact you and inform you about the free space. With a bit of luck, it might still work out.

If you are already registered and you cannot come, then write us an email at < contact@dillysocks.com> . This way you will free up your place and other children will be happy about it.

If you didn't manage to get a place, we'll send you a virtual summary by email after the event. Everyone who has registered will take part in our die-maus competition, where there are fun prizes to be won. And psst, there's also a small consolation prize for everyone.

We will update this page as soon as there is new information about the event. If you have registered, you will also receive a newsletter with the latest information about the event.

Any questions about the Doors Open with the Mouse event?

Can parents also take part in the sock workshop?

Basically, I'd love to. But we only have limited space in our office. And the kids definitely have priority on the sock obstacle course :-). If there's enough space, parents are welcome to join in. If not, we recommend a local café for parents. It also depends a bit on your child/children. If a child doesn't want to stay without their parents, then it's better for mom or dad to stay. We're currently seeing good demand for the event.

Is there parking nearby?

Unfortunately, we cannot provide or guarantee parking spaces. We therefore recommend that you travel by public transport. There are parking spaces in the Blue Zone, but as mentioned, we cannot guarantee availability here.

How do I get to the event using public transport?

You can reach our office very easily with the S10 - get off at the Zurich Binz station - or with the S4 - get off at the Zurich Giesshübel station . From both S-Bahn stations it takes about 2 minutes to walk to our office.

How long will the event last?

We're doing one event in the morning and a second one in the afternoon. The sock course should last between 60 and 90 minutes in total. But we're planning with some flexibility so that there's enough time for questions and spontaneous events :-). Who knows...? It won't be longer than 2 hours though.

Can I come by earlier or spontaneously?

We are always open to spontaneity, but we are also happy if you stick to the times given. It is best to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the event starts.

When will you know if your registration was successful?

As already mentioned, we will initially accept all registrations. We will then confirm final participation around a week before the event. If there are still places available, we will write to you. We will do this in the order in which the registration is received. If it doesn't work out this time, you will definitely be entered into the raffle and everyone will receive a digital summary of the event. And psst, there is also a small consolation prize for everyone.

The entire DillySocks® team looks forward to your visit!

Best regards

Thomas from the DillySocks team
